Farnley Tyas First School Help Out the Eco-Church

On Friday the 7th of March the churchyard welcomed 6 very enthusiastic children and their teacher to do a spot of bird watching. The children are part of Farnley Tyas's First School Vision & Values group which spans all years.

Unfortunately, the birds were having a snooze that afternoon, except for a blackbird and a pigeon that is!

The children were not downhearted though, they enjoyed learning how to use binoculars and helped to put our new signs in place throughout the churchyard.
The signs on reclaimed slate were painted by Farnley Tyas's U3A's Art Group under the leadership of our own Margaret Hicks.
